My Postpartum Transformation

I have had a passion for fitness and wellness for about 3 years now. I have always been ‘active’, I was a cheerleader in high school and have had a gym membership for as long as I have been old enough to have one. I was more so a ‘cardio girl’ and ate like a bird. Before I met Matthew I was very thin, almost malnourished. Once we started working out together I gained muscle mass and toned up tremendously. I did not work out throughout my pregnancy because working full time and being pregnant exhausted me as is. I gained 52 pounds during my pregnancy and I delivered at 179! After I had Kennedy I had to wait 2 months before I could start working out again and I jumped on it as soon as I was cleared. I got down to 158 about a month after I had her and I was super unhappy with my body. By 4 months postpartum I was 140 pounds and I was happy to have seen some progress/pounds dropping on the scale. I was still far from my goal though so I kept pushing. I stayed at 140 until I was about 6 months postpartum, then finally dropped down to 132. I finally got down to 127, my pre-pregnancy weight, at 9 months postpartum. It’s so nice to be comfortable in my own skin again! I still have some major goals to crush, mainly building mass in my glutes and toning up my tummy more. I cannot stress enough how important it is to maintain your health. Your body is a machine, what you feed it is your fuel and the more you condition/work it the better it’ll treat you. It has not been the easiest ride but it has been WORTH IT. There have been endless amounts of sweat and even a few tears but it is all so rewarding. I couldn’t have done it without the love, patience and support of Matthew. I am so ready to keep reaching my goals & becoming better & better everyday!

    1. Hi Jessica! Thank you for the sweet words!! I’m so glad you like my page/story! To answer your question, no, I didn’t really breastfeed (only for 3 weeks then I dried up) I wish I could’ve though! I’ve heard it really helps with losing belly weight (not sure if that’s completely true, but some people have sworn by it). I hope you enjoy the rest of my journey & posts! Look forward to talking more along the way! 🙂
